I born and brought up at Sapanpur, ward no-7 of Jajpurtown municipality. Its interesting to note that all the residents in this village are carrying the same surname i.e. ‘Mishra’, the Brahmins and hence   at times it was famous in the name ‘Mishra-Brahmapur’. Want to see my home from a birds eye? jpt-7.jpg. I have heard that I was very shy and reticent kinda guy in my early days!! I wonder if any such qualities are still with me! I was not sporty in those days and used to spend time inside home, happy in my own world of cinema songs, story books etc.

I did my early schooling from Sapanpur School very near to my home. Studied 6-7th class at Bahabalpur School where my father was Headmaster. After 7th class I got NRTS scholarship. Still don’t know the full form. But those times we were really felt proud of that. Finished my 10th exam from Biraja High School one of the most ancient and prestigious school in that circle, adjacent to Temple of Goddes Biraja. I used to top in the school for all the exams and this continued up to my BSc.

Did Intermediate from NC College, Jajpurtown. I was a huge homesick that time and never thought of going away from my home. I find myself still a bit home sick.

I was usually spening time with storybooks, magazines, old radio, some old electrical gadgets either repairing (or smashing!) etc etc. I used to spend half of my free time just sitting and thinking. I used to spend moonlit evenings sitting or lying back on rooftop and watching starry, glittery, twinkling stars and intermingling unsolved- never ended thoughts. Starry skies and full moons (forced plural) were once sketching my mind n heart…..

I finished my BSc with Physics honors from the same college and now forced to move out of jajpurtown. And that time was quite grown up too. I joined Ravenshaw College for MSc and specialized in Atomic and Molecular Physics. Then I joined Mphill there and leaving in the midway I joined Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Ahmedabad. I worked there for close to 2 years and subsequently I moved to Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) and working there till date.
